HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE THE FIRST FEMALE BURBERRY AMBASSADOR IN KOREA?
It is a great honour to be announced as Burberry’s ambassador. Burberry is known as a brand with a rich history and traditions and aims to innovate in line with our ever-changing times, which is what I am trying to convey to the audience as an actor. The timeless elegance of Burberry inspires me greatly, I look forward to working closely with the time-honoured house and carefully collaborating together.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO EXCEL AT YOUR CRAFT?
Nowadays, I am inspired by my surroundings on sets. I used to spend a lot of time researching my roles when I was young, and this helped a lot. Now, I immerse myself in the ambience, set and costumes as well as in the interactions with co-stars and the director. This way I can experience much richer and newer emotions that are different from what I initially conceived.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?
Rather than following trends, I prefer simple, natural yet classic styles. Similarly to the style I pursue, Burberry interprets beauty in a modern way while maintaining its timelessness.

How does it feel to be recognized for your style?
It’s an honour. There is a synergy effect because I have been able to meet good works and amazing roles. I am grateful that my past characters have been loved by many people, including their styles.
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Burberry? And what is the favourite Burberry piece that you own?
When I think of Burberry, I think of the iconic trench coat. Loved by everyone, it is a beautiful and classic piece that transcends time. I love Burberry’s trench coat and have often worn it in my work.
What are your goals for the future?
I’d like not only to simply live well as a person but also as an actress. In acting, I really try to empty my mind and my body so that the character can be completely absorbed into my own. I feel that ‘simply living well’ comes from having a regular routine, clear mind, and uncomplicated relationships with others that can help me focus better.
